Ever since my Wife got her copy of Cook, Eat, Repeat last November, I have baked this loaf 2 or 3 times a week. A 2 pound loaf soon became not big enough so I scaled the ingredients and now always bake a 3 pound loaf. I've used all sorts of options for the Spoilt Milk/Sour Cream - Milk and Lemon Juice, Sour Cream, Milk and slightly off Double Cream or Creme Fraiche, Sour Cream, Buttermilk, Full fat Creme Fraiche and now a mixture of Milk and cheap Sainsbury's Plain Yoghurt which I keep in the fridge. All work very well the bread makes wonderful sandwiches and fantastic toast.
