This is a brilliantly straightforward recipe, and I find it works well with ordinary milk as we rarely have spoiled milk. I love to eat it toasted with marmite and smashed avocado, but my husband's all-time favourite is double-buttered (à la Nigella) with my homemade Corsican clementine marmalade.
