I am an engineer-turned-baker and enjoy testing my skills on my office colleagues. When I first saw the recipe I knew its the perfect cake to take to the office. The boys LOVE beer and LOVE cake! I added a caramel spread for details on the icing - a local favourite and a wonderful compliment to the rich texture of the chocolate cake. My children added the green sparkle for Saint Patrick's Day theme. Needless to say... I was the favourite colleague for the day. They took a photo when a cut the first slice. Attached is the photo taken from the tables under the trees. Will recommend this recipe to anyone!
