Cream cheese icing in my opinion, must contain a citrus twist. As such, a drop of fresh lemon juice and a healthy amount of rind has been added to the icing. It may be a little decedent to bake this for myself for my birthday, but nothing says happy birthday, light a hearty wedge of this gloriously dense cake and a cup of coffee for breakfast.
