Chocolate Guinness cake is my absolute favourite cake ever and completely swoon-worthy! I topped my latest creation with an extra 25% creamy frosting and cute mini Guinness pint chocolates, especially for St Patrick’s Day. Baking has become a joy for me during the past year’s lockdowns, with the results being shared amongst family, friends and neighbours in my village, our own little cake club. I always have a sliver myself just to check it is edible, of course! This one was my best yet and feedback from my lovely family and friends included “Scrumptious”, “This was amazing!”, “Absolutely delicious!”, “10 out of 10!” and the highly doubtful “Even Nigella couldn’t top that!”. Praise indeed, so I think I’ll have to make it again soon.
