So with Halloween around the corner and my birthday tomorrow (10th Oct) I made this joint celebration cake using nigellas devils food cake recipe. Covered with a piped on rosette effect on top/around the cake I also lathered the smooth velvet icing between the two chocolate sponges. And then with my love of cats I topped it off with a black (called Dave) sitting amongst pumpkins - made out of fondant. Happy Halloween Everyone!
