Meet my birthday cake! I'd say it was a complete success. Had a chunky vanilla bean on hand, half of which went into the icing and the other half, into the cake. Lovely results! You can't tell, but I also made Nigella's passion fruit curd; a tangy filling to balance the sweeter buttercream. The little dots were meant to help with portion control. Happy Holidays!
