The temperature here in Southern California still hovers above 90 degrees Fahrenheit but I’m willing it to be Fall as scents of apple and cinnamon wafted through the kitchen while the kuchen baked. Blackberries are harder to come by these days in my area so I doubled the apples, using the ones that arrived in our local farm produce box, and used currants in the blackberries’ stead. Absolutely delicious. All that’s missing is that second cup of coffee.
