I am originally from Northern Ireland, now living in Essex so Nigella’s chocolate Guinness cake has become part of our family’s traditions for St Patrick’s day over the years. I always bake one for the family and for a few years now, one to take into the law firm where I work and there was a stampede yesterday to come in for some when I sent the cake email round! It is a joy to have my children get involved in these traditions so here is my 9 year old daughter Emily who helped me bake ours this year. She particularly enjoys “frothing up” the icing!!
