I went completely gluten and dairy free by making the buttercream frosting with vegan butter and filling the sponge with vegan whipped cream. Although my photography skills are lacking, it turned out beautifully and every member of our family - even my husband who's a diehard carnivore - thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you, Nigella!
