I have been looking forward to Sabrina Ghayour’s new book, Simply, ever since I knew she was writing it. For the two things you need to know about Sabrina is that 1) her food is always delicious, and 2) her recipes always work. None of her books is complicated but this one, as the title suggests, is predicated on simplicity: everything feels easily do-able and, as with her four earlier books, Persiana, Sirocco, Feasts and Bazaar, it’s brimming with her trademark warmth and vivacity and flair for flavour. Every page is an invitation to cook. I can’t wait to make her Date & Ginger Chicken Wings, Spiced Turmeric Mashed Potatoes, Pomegranate Molasses & Honey-Glazed Meatballs, Tahdig e Macaroni (tomatoey rice with that signature Persian crust, crispy with spaghetti) and Fragrant Fishcakes. And that’s just the beginning of my list!
But the recipe I just had to share with you today — and how could you blame me? — is her White Chocolate, Raspberry and Pistachio Tiramisu, a fruity beauty that I need on my table.
