A gauntlet was thrown down the other day and, somewhat recklessly, I agreed to the challenge. As soon as I tell you more, you'll understand: one Jake Molineux asked me on twitter whether I had a recipe for bacon and maple syrup cupcakes; with shame in my heart, I had to say no. But I did promise to come up with one.
After only a moderate (and entirely justifiable) amount of chivvying, these babies were the happy upshot: Maple Buttercream Cupcakes with Bacon Sprinkles. We at Team Cupcake are so happy with them, we are thinking of making them our signature cupcake. Go on, be brave, try them, and you'll see why.
