It’s been particularly cold in my neck of the woods for the past few days, but that’s fine by me. I never mind the cold. True, the long dark days can be dispiriting, but I find that a crackling fire, slipper socks, and bowls of warming food make up for any amount of greyness. And besides, we seem to be moving right now (not that I want to jinx it) into my favourite weather of all: that’s to say, bitingly crisp but with wedgwood blue skies. It could not, I feel, be a more auspicious time to welcome the Slow-Cooker Moroccan Chicken recipe from Simply Nigella - aka my chook from the souk - to the website for the first time. It’s everything I want right now: it's comforting, uplifting and agreeably low-effort into the bargain; a bowl of sunlight at the end of a chilly day.
It’s a premium recipe, which means you do need to be signed in to access it, but it costs nothing to sign up and is the work of a moment. And before I go, I should also say don’t worry if you don’t have a slow-cooker. The instructions for cooking this in a casserole in the oven are in the notes to the recipe.
