Ingredients

Serves: 4 - 5 people.

Metric Cups
  • 1 red pumpkin (chopped in small block sized pieces)
  • 1 onion (chopped very finely)
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • cream (optional)

Method

Easy Pumpkin Soup is a community recipe submitted by bellasays and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Add butter in a saucepan and fry the chopped onions. Once onion turns a little translucent add the chopped potatoes and pumpkin. Let it cook for sometime on slow heat.
  • Then add water and bring the vegetables to a blow. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Once the vegetables are cooked let them cool. Grind them them in a blender. Reheat in the same saucepan. Add some cream to taste. Serve with hot garlic bread. Tastes amazing
