GRILL NOODLES, SUNFLOWER SEEDS AND ALMONDS UNTIL BROWN AND SET ASIDE UNTIL JUST BEFORE SERVING. (CAN BE DONE A FEW HOURS BEFORE) MIX THE SHREDDED CABBAGE AND scallions TOGETHER AND SET ASIDE. MAKE THE DRESSING AND SET ASIDE. MIX EVERYTHING TOGETHER AT THE LAST MINUTE, JUST BEFORE SERVING TO KEEP THE SALAD FRESH AND CRUNCHY.

This is a delicious and different salad that is easy to prepare and is always a talking point at get-togethers.

For the Salad
- 2 packets rice noodles (instant noodles, broken up)
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup sliced almonds
- ½ shredded red cabbage (medium sized)
- 1 cup chopped scallions
For the Dressing
- ½ cup oil
- ¼ cup vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 chicken broth cube (or vegetable, dissolved in a tablespoon of boiled water)
