Ingredients

Serves: 30- 50

Metric Cups
  • 450 millilitres plain flour
  • 50 millilitres sugar
  • 200 grams butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • jam (or preserve - a jar)
  • 16 fluid ounces all-purpose flour
  • 2 fluid ounces sugar
  • 7 ounces butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • preserves (or preserve - a jar)

Method

  • Add flour, sugar and butter in a bowl and combine to a dough with your fingers, let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 175 C.
  • Roll small balls the size of a walnut.
  • Put on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and flatten the balls a little and make a dent in the middle fill with jam.
  • Bake for 8- 10 min.
