Creamy Gorgonzola Prawn Pasta

Introduction

This is a favourite of my OH. Even though I can't eat it myself I don't mind cooking it for him, I'm allergic :-(

Serve either with Pasta, Couscous or Rice.

Ingredients

Serves: 4

Metric Cups
  • 6 raw king prawns (per person) (cleaned)
  • 1 handful spring onions (or parsley)
  • 500 millilitres gorgonzola cheese (grated)
  • 300 millilitres cream
  • 30 millilitres garlic butter
  • 6 raw king shrimp (per person) (cleaned)
  • 1 handful scallions (or parsley)
  • 18 fluid ounces gorgonzola cheese (grated)
  • 11 fluid ounces cream
  • 1 fluid ounce garlic butter

Method

  • Melt the garlic butter in a stainless steel frying pan or large wok. Toss the prawns in the butter for two minutes. Then add spring onion and or parsley.
  • Lastly pour over the cream and add in the gorgonzola. Cook until the cheese has melted.

  • Additional Information

    You can also leave out the cream and just make it with butter and olive oil with some lemon juice. Decorated with spring onion.

    Serve over Pasta or what ever you prefer with a little grated Parmesan on top. Et tres bien.x You can even add cooked pasta before you add the cream and cheese and just serve it all up together. I like to do that sometimes.
