Stir Fried Veggies

Heat oils in wok, stir-fry onion, add garlic when onion is softened, stir fry for a few seconds. Add combined sauces, blended cornstarch and water slurry, ginger and wine. Stir until sauce boils and thickens slightly. Add vegetables and stir-fry until just tender (about three minutes will probably do - depends on the heat you can get going though). Serve with rice or rice noodles:)

Ingredients
Serves: 3-4
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1 tablespoon asian sesame oil
- 1 large sliced thickly onion
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- ¼ cup light soy sauce
- ⅓ cup sweet chile sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- ½ cup water
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh gingerroot
- 1 tablespoon chinese rice wine (or sweet sherry)
- 1 medium chopped coarsely red bell pepper
- 6 ounces broccoli (florets and sliced stems, or brocolini)
- 5 ounces snow peas (halved on the angle)
- 12 ounces fresh baby sweetcorn (halved lengthways)
- 2 scallions (sliced on angle)
