Combine sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and stir well to combine. Set saucepan over a medium heat, bring to a simmer and cook 2-3 minutes until sugar has dissolved and sauce has thickened slightly. Remove from heat and cool.
Introduction
I would remind you that Aussie tablespoons are 20ml not 15ml, so perhaps use heaped tablespoons, or add two more teaspoons worth of the sugar and sake:) It would be well to do that with this recipe as it's a significant part of the recipe:) *MY suggestion, if at all possible choose a good quality Japanese soy or tamari for this:)
