Honey Apple Tart

Cream butter and sugar and add the beaten egg. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and add it alternately with the milk to the butter mixture. Pour the apple slices on the bottom of the dish and cover with the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 45 – 55 minutes.
melt the butter and honey and mix well. When the tart is done prick all over with a skewer and pour the hot syrup over the hot tart. Serve hot with cream, ideal milk or custard.
Introduction
This was my Granny's favourite and I make it to remind me of her, it is truly delicious.

Serves: 6 - 8
For the Tart
- 1 cup margarine (or butter)
- 1 cup superfine sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tin canned apples
For the Honey Syrup
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons honey
