Using a handheld whisk or freestanding mixer with whisk attachment, beat all the ingredients in a large bowl until soft and creamy. Divide the mix between 24 bun cases. Bake at 200C (180C fan) for 12-15 minutes. They should be light golden brown on top when cooked.

Introduction
This is a recipe for simple buns, passed down from my Nanny. If you don't want them plain, you can add about 75g of whatever you like to the mix. (I like sultanas, chocolate chips or glace cherries.)
