Melt butter in microwave Add sugar and pineapple When cool ,add eggs,fruit and flour Place in 2 greased and floured 1lb tins Bake at gas 2/300f for approx 1 3/4 hours Cool in tin slightly before tirning out onto cake wire.

Ingredients
Serves: 6-8
- 1⅛ pounds self-rising flour
- 8 ounces butter (or margarine)
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 pound golden raisins
- 10 ounces granulated sugar
- 1 tin pineapples (use cheap tinned pineapple, fruit juice or syrup based, and whiz it up in a blender)

nb you can substitute the pineapple for peaches in own juice.this cake keeps well and freezes beautifully
