Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients

Serves: a jug

Metric Cups
  • 12 lemons (zest & juice roughly chopped)
  • 400 grams granulated sugar
  • 2⅜ litres boiling water
  • 12 lemons (zest & juice roughly chopped)
  • 14 ounces granulated sugar
  • 5 pints boiling water

Method

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy is a community recipe submitted by Hedgehog and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • In a large pan, bring the water to the boil.
  • Then remove from heat. Add the zest, juice and chopped lemons to the pan
  • Next add all the sugar and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Cover pan and leave overnight. Strain out the bits of lemon and pips.
  • Decant into jug and keep in fridge. Serve with lots of ice cubes.
