Beat eggs and sugar until frothy. then stir in the rest of the ingredients. Spread fairly thickly onto oblaten bases.(these are sold in packets in Europe, made of rice flour I think) Smooth over the top as much as possible. B ake at 150degrees for 25 - 30 mins. Glaze with lemon icing (fairly runny). Chocolate icing is another option.

- 250 grams candied lemon peel (chopped into small pieces)
- 200 grams candied orange peel
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (grated)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 lemon (grated)
- 1 sprinkling of icing sugar (for glaze)
- 1 splash of lemon juice (for glaze)

- 9 ounces hazelnut meal

- 7 ounces candied orange peel
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

- 1 lemon (grated)
- 1 sprinkling of confectioners' sugar (for glaze)
- 1 splash of lemon juice (for glaze)
