Jean's Date and Apple Chutney

Chop all ingredients as finely as you like (or you can be bothered, I use a food processor), place in a heavy pan and simmer until it looks like chutney (about 20 mins), pot in sterilised jars whilst still hot. Makes about 6 medium sized jars. Needs about a month to mature.
Introduction
Sweet and delicious, sorry it's in 'old weights' because it's an old recipe. It's very good with pork pie (I know it's not good for you, just don't eat it every week!)

- 1 pint malt vinegar
- 1 pound onions
- 1 pound bramley apples
- 1 pound chopped dates
- 1 pound sugar
- 1 teaspoon English mustard powder
- salt
- pepper
