sautee onions in olive oil until just shy of clear add water, lentils and other veggies add seasonings to taste cook on medium heat for 1 hour enjoy!
Introduction
One of my favorite soups for fall and winter nights. My nieces (6, 8 & 15) absolutely love it, and always ask for seconds.

Ingredients
Serves: 6
- 6 cups water
- 1 packet brown lentils
- 2 large roughly chopped tomatoes
- 1 large roughly chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch of oregano
- 1 pinch of kosher salt
- olive oil
