Sauté onion in butter add vegetables & stock, bring to boil, simmer till tender. Put through blender, return to pot & add sugar, seasonings (I omitted salt, due to stock), cheese & milk. Heat but do not boil. Serve with fresh hot bread – yummy.

- 25 grams butter (just for frying onion)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 60 grams cheese (tasty)
- 1250 millilitres chicken stock
- 188 millilitres cream (or milk)
- salt
- pepper
- 17⅔ ounces broccoli (coarsely chopped including stalks)
- ⅞ ounce butter (just for frying onion)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2⅛ ounces cheese (tasty)
- 44 fluid ounces chicken broth
- 7 fluid ounces cream (or milk)
- salt
