Boil together mixed fruit, sugar, margarine, bicarb, pumpkin pie spice and water gently for 25 minutes. Remove from stove and allow to cool. Add brandy, eggs flour and baking powder, mix well and bake at 160C for 1.5 hours.

- 4 ounces margarine
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1½ cups cold water
- ½ cup brandy
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
