Wash the chicken and place it in the stock in a large pot. Put the lid on. Bring to the boil. Turn the stove down to the lowest setting and go shopping for an hour or so, till the chicken is tender. Remove the chicken and place the pasta in the pot. Stir frequently til cooked as you will not have that much liquid. In the mean time, skin and cut up the chicken (and debone if you are feeling re-energised). Place chicken into pasta and leave for five minutes before serving. You could add chopped red chilli, parsley or add peas to the pasta for the last 5 minutes.
