Put the ribs in a pan and cover them with cola. Bring up to the boil and cook for an half hour. Then take out the ribs and reduce the cola until it's like a sirope. Add all the other ingredients (or other if your want) and leave it to cool a bit (it'll thicken some more now). Heat the oven (200 C) and put the ribs on a baking tray. Poor the marinade over the ribs and grill them for about an hour. Baste the ribs every now and them with the marinade in the baking tray. Serve with whatever you want and lots of napkins.

Introduction
On request. The sweet and sticky spareribs. Totally inspired on Nigella's ham in Coke. The boiling makes them really tender and make them fall of the bone, so to speak.

I waited an age after boiling the ribs for half an hour. The recipe says remove the ribs and reduce the juice in the pan to a syrup. Trust me it does not reduce, also there's a disgusting scum that accumulates when boiling the ribs. In the end I decided to boil fresh cola to reduce it does take ages though.
Spare ribs method is confusing? 4.Heat the oven (200 C) and put the ribs on a baking tray. 5.Poor the marinade over the ribs and grill them for about an hour. Are we grilling or roasting ?
