Ingredients

Serves: 6

Metric Cups
  • 257 millilitres milk (cold)
  • 1 packet gelatine
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 57 grams unsweetened chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 338 grams sugar
  • 474 millilitres cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 9 fluid ounces milk (cold)
  • 1 packet gelatine
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate (finely chopped)
  • 12 ounces sugar
  • 16⅝ fluid ounces cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Method

  • Sprinkle gelatin over milk in saucepan until softened.
  • Blend cocoa, oil, chocolate and sugar, add to milk stirring constantly until chocolate melts. Chill.
  • Whip heavy cream with vanilla to stiff peaks, fold into chilled chocolate mousse, spoon into serving cups or martini glasses.
  • Cover, refrigerate overnight and serve with whipped cream topping.
