Metric Cups
  • 4 teaspoons cornflour
  • 4 teaspoons plain flour
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • vegetable oil
  • chicken pieces
  • fresh ginger (chopped)
  • garlic (chopped)
  • onions (chopped or onion seeds)
  • spring onions
  • carrots
  • pepper
  • cabbages
  • soy sauce
  • tomato ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 4 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • vegetable oil
  • chicken pieces
  • fresh gingerroot (chopped)
  • garlic (chopped)
  • onions (chopped or onion seeds)
  • scallions
  • carrots
  • pepper
  • cabbages
  • soy sauce
  • tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Mix the cornflour, plain flour, egg and salt and make a batter (add water if needed).
  2. Heat a pan with oil and make the base with the batter (it should be round or square). Cook only one side. Heat another pan with oil and add ginger, garlic, carrot, capsicum, onion, cabbage, spring onion, soy sauce and tomato ketchup.
  3. Fry till cooked (this is the filling).
  4. Put the base in a plate, the cooked side on top. Put some filling in the middle and cover the whole filling without leaving a gap (like a rectangular parcel).
  5. Now fry these rolls in a pan till golden brown.
