Real Easy French Toast

Lightly whisk egg in a bowl until yolk and white are evenly combined. Soak the slice of sourdough bread in the egg (a few minutes per side). Place small frying pan on a med-low heat and melt butter over the surface. Drop the egg soaked bread into the pan and cook gently for about 2 minutes a side. Cover the toasted bread in sugar and drizzle with honey. Enjoy, slowly, deliciously!
Introduction
I wanted a good helping of french toast one morning (several now) and this is how I made it - simple, rich and delectable. I always cook this over a gas cooker instead of the electric stove.

- 1 slice wholemeal sourdough bread (authentic, a thick slice)
- 2 teaspoons butter
- 1 egg (free range)
- 2 teaspoons rapadura sugar
- honey (or maple syrup, good quality)
