Ingredients

Metric Cups
  • 1 small baguette (white, preferably a day old)
  • 500 millilitres milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 225 grams cheese (grated)
  • 110 grams plum tomatoes (baby, halved)

  • 4 ounces plum tomatoes (baby, halved)

Method

  • Cut the bread into 1cm thick slices.
  • Whisk together milk & eggs, season.
  • Layer bread, cheese and tomatoes in an oven proof dish, top layer should be cheese.
  • Pour over milk and eggs, leave to stand for 15 mins.
  • Cook in a preheated oven 200C/Gas6, for 20 mins or until risen and lightly set.
