Although you can buy pomegranate seeds in tubs from the supermarket, I buy whole pomegranates from my local Turkish greengrocer and de-seed them myself. They are much cheaper and it is very satisfying - but don't forget to wear an apron and do it over a large bowl, as it can be a messy business!
