Our answer

Nigella's Blackberry Crisp (from NIGELLA EXPRESS) is a crumble-type dish with a topping made from oats, almonds, sunflower seeds and flour. The topping bakes into something similar to a fudgy flapjack or oat bar and is at its best when freshly baked. Leftovers could be reheated but are also very good served cold.

We would suggest assembling the dish a day ahead (to the end of step 4 in the method) and storing it, loosely covered, in the fridge until ready to bake. The unbaked, assembled dish could also be frozen at this point, wrapped tightly in a double layer of clingfilm (plastic wrap) and a layer of foil. Thaw the dish overnight in the fridge before baking. If the crisp is baked direct from the fridge then you may need to allow an extra 5-10 minutes baking time, to make sure that it is hot all of the way through.
