Coffee Ice Cream Without Alcohol

Full question
I was wondering if the No Churn Coffee Ice Cream could be made without alcohol, to make it suitable for children? Or would this ruin the recipe altogether?
Our answer
Nigella's No-Churn Coffee Ice Cream (from Nigellissima) can be made without alcohol for children. The coffee liqueur adds some extra flavour and will also slightly help the texture of the ice cream by preventing it from becoming too icy, but the combination of condensed milk and double cream means that the ice cream should still be smooth and scoopable without the alcohol.
If you omit the alcohol then the coffee flavour will still be strong enough so we don't believe you will need to increase the amount of espresso powder used. Also if you don't have the Illy Espresso liqueur then you could use any other coffee liqueur that you prefer. Tia Maria and Kahula would both be good substitutes.
