Our answer

Nigella's Flourless Chocolate Lime Cake With Margarita Cream (from KITCHEN) uses ground almonds (almond meal) instead of flour. The combination of melted dark (bittersweet) chocolate and cocoa means that the dominant flavour in the cake is chocolate, with small bursts of lime from the lime zest. The cake has a crumbly texture, thanks to the almonds and there is a slight almond note, but it does not taste like marzipan. However, if you are concerned then we would suggest trying the Chocolate Cloud Cake instead as this is also flourless and doesn't contain nuts and there is no tequila in the accompanying cream.

For the margarita cream the tequila is combined with triple sec to give the flavours of a margarita, but you can just omit the tequila if you don't like it or don't have any to hand. Rum and other liqueurs start to affect the taste of the cream and may not go as well with the chocolate and lime flavours.
