Freezing The Chocolate Chestnut Refrigerator Cake

Full question
I have made the Chocolate Chestnut Refrigerator Cake but have loads left and was wondering if it is suitable for freezing for consumption at a later date?
Our answer
Nigella's Chocolate Chestnut Refrigerator Cake (from NIGELLA BITES) is a truffle-like mixture of sweetened chestnut puree, butter and chocolate. It will keep in the fridge for up to a week if it is tightly wrapped in clingfilm (plastic wrap) or stored in an airtight box. It also freezes well.
Wrap the leftover cake in a double layer of clingfilm and a layer of foil and freeze for up to 1 month. If you prefer to freeze individual slices then wrap each slice in a double layer of clingfilm and then stack the slices in an airtight contanier and freeze for up to a month. Thaw the cake, or slices, overnight in the fridge before serving and eat any thawed cake within 3 days.
