Can I make the shortcake part of the Strawberry Shortcakes in advance and freeze them then thaw them and warm them before adding the cream and strawberries?

Nigella's Strawberry Shortcakes (from HOW TO BE A DOMESTIC GODDESS) are American shortcakes, which are similar to scones. They are best on the day that they are made but can be frozen and refreshed in a warm oven. Let the shortcakes cool completely then freeze in airtight containers or resealable bags for up to 1 month.
To thaw the shortcakes, put them on a wire rack and leave at room temperature for about 1 hour. Warm the shortcakes in an oven preheated to 150℃/Fan 130℃/300°F for 5-10 minutes then split and serve them with the strawberries and cream.
