Full question
I'm a little confused with the number of servings for the White Chocolate Cheesecake. The recipe says it serves 8, however the picture shows 12 slices. I'm interested because I can't wait to make this for a dinner party for 10 people and wanted to understand the servings. I have both an 8 and 10 inch springform tins.
Our answer
Nigella's White Chocolate Cheesecake (from AT MY TABLE) is a perfect party dessert as it is deceptively easy to make, can be made in advance and is loved by most people. Whilst the cheesecake will serve 8 people, it can serve more depending on what dishes have been served prior to the dessert and the appetite (or greed!) of your guests.
We suspect that as part of a dinner party then the cheesecake will probably serve 10 as you are likely to only need small-ish slices. If you are not sure then we would suggest making two 20cm/8-inch cheesecakes. Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months. If you wanted to make a larger cheesecake in a 25cm/10-inch tin then normally for a cake you would make 1 1/2 times the quantity of the recipe. But as this cheesecake is not baked and you only need to serve 10 people then you could probably make 1 1/4 times the quantity of the recipe. However we would mention that we have not tested the cheesecake in a larger size so are unable to guarantee the results.
