Party Popcorn as a Gift

Full question
Hi! I would like to make the Party Popcorn (from Nigella Express) and give as homemade gifts for Christmas. Do you have an idea of how log it would last if decanted into cellophane bags. Or would this not be recommended? Many Thanks.
Our answer
Nigella's Party Popcorn (from Nigella Express) is a sweet and spicy party snack that is quick to make. Freshly-popped corn is tossed in butter that has been spiked with cinnamon, cumin and paprika. We suspect that it is not ideal as a Christmas gift as the popcorn will soften very quickly, even if it is put into cellophane bags.
However Nigella does have many home-made foodie gift ideas in her book Christmas, in the chapter All Wrapped Up. Vanilla Sugar and Christmas Spiced Salt are both easy and quick to make and will keep for about 1 year and you could put these into bags if you don't have jars. If you are feeling a little more adveturous then you can make the Peanut Brittle With Art And Soul (this keeps for up to 10 days in a cool, dry place). Nigella also has a recipe for Cranberry And Pistachio Biscotti in Nigellissima and these would make a nice gift, plus they will keep for up to a month in an airtight container or a week or two in cellophane bags (tightly sealed).
