Full question
Hi there! I once saw Nigella on BBC Food making a warm potato salad with bacon, peas, wine (I think) and new potatoes - more like a side dish than a salad really. Could you tell me which recipe this was? Thanks very much, Sandy.
Hi Nigella, I recently saw a video of you making a chocolate dessert. It is a favourite of your children, one of whom named this dessert hotchopot (if I remember correctly). Please help me find the recipe as I wish to replicate this luscious chocolate delight. Many thanks, Grace.
Our answer
Nigella has a couple of recipes that sound similar to the one you describe. The first is the Warm Potato Salad from Nigella Express (p122). The salad is made from just-cooked baby new potatoes with sauteed bacon, white wine vinegar and mustard. The second recipe isn't actaully a salad but is more of a meal in a pan called Back-From-The-Bar-Snack which appears in Feast (p414). This is made from cooked new potatoes, peas, bacon, eggs and grated cheese.
The chocolate dessert is called Chocohotopots, named by Nigella's son as "they are chocolate, they are hot and they are cooked in little pots". They are chocolate cakes with molten centres that are baked in ramekins. The recipe can be found on p256 of Nigella's book Feast.
