Recipes on Nigella's Website
Asked by janecook. Answered on 22nd June 2012
Full question
I just made one of the cakes on your website (Grandma's Devil's Food Cake) and I believe some of the measurements may not be quite right (using tablespoons/tbsp instead of teaspoons/tsp). It did not turn out quite as expected. I thought the recipes on this site were recipe-tested.
Our answer
We are extremely grateful for all of the contributions to the Commumity section of the website. We do receive a lot of recipe submissions and so are not able to test any of the Community recipes, verify results, and in most cases it is difficult for us to answer queries concerning the Community recipes. However we would like to reassure users that Nigella's own recipes on the website are tested extensively.
We are sorry that you were disappointed with the Community recipe that was chosen and would encourage all Community recipe users to post any comments (both good and bad) in the "Comments" section that appears below each recipe. In this way all Commumity members can share helpful tips on the recipes.
To only search Nigella's own recipes you can refine your recipe searches by clicking on the "Nigella's recipes" tab towards the top of the page, or by checking the "Nigella's Own recipes" box in the "refine" option on the left hand side of the page.
