Storing Nutella Cake

Full question
Can you tell me if the Nutella Cake would be suitable for freezing (obviously before the topping is put on). If not how long will the cake keep in an airtight tin? I need it to last for 3 days, is this possible?
Our answer
Nigella's Nutella Cake (fom Domestic Goddess) is a flourless cake that is made with ground hazelnuts. The ground nuts help to keep the cake moist and it should be fine if made 3 days in advance and kept in an airtight container. However make sure the cake is kept in a cool place and ice and decorate it just before serving. The nuts can be toasted up to 3 days in advance too and kept in an airtight container.
The cake can also be frozen without the icing on. It is best to leave the cake on the base of the springform pan as this will help to keep it rigid and reduce the risk of it being damaged in the freezer. Wrap the cake in a double layer of clingfilm (plastic wrap) and a layer of foil. The cake can be frozen for up to 3 months. To thaw the cake unwrap it and leave it on a wire rack at room temperature for about 4 hours.
