Full question
Recently I watched Nigella make an omelette and then wrap it up. I can't find a recipe for it anywhere. Also, what was the large sheet of flatbread used?
Our answer
Nigella made her Masala Omelette (from NIGELLA BITES) on her TV show of the same name. Nigella likes to eat the omelette drizzed with sauce and wrapped inside flatbread.
On the show Nigella used a large store-bought thin flatbread that is similar to Lavash bread, a bread that is popular in the Caucasus region, the Middle East and central Asia. You may be able to find them in specialty stores or grocers. However, chapattis are a good alternative and are shown in the photograph that accompanies the recipe. You could also use any other thin, flexible flatbread that is big enough to hold the omelette, such as a large flour tortilla. On the show Nigella adds a little brown sauce to the wrap, but her Coriander And Jalapeno Salsa would also be an ideal match.
