Full question
When converting butter measurement is it possible to have the measurement in volume, rather than weight (150 grams to 5.5 ounces)?
Our answer
The recipe for Coffee Baklava With Dried Figs is a Guest recipe and the conversions for US measurements tend to be different to the conversions we give for Nigella's own recipes. For Nigella's recipes we give the American measurements from the US copies of her books, so the butter measurements are in tablespoons (volume measurement). But for the Guest recipes the conversions are based on measurements from other authors so we tend to publish what is given by them, particularly as we don't test Guest recipes ourselves.
For the Baklava recipe 150g of butter is 10 tablespoons (or 1¼ sticks). To help you in future, 15g of butter is the equivalent of one tablespoon. So you can divide the metric weight of butter by 15 to get the number of tablespoons.
