A series of firsts for me with this cookalong; both the water bath method of baking the cheesecake (I'm more familiar with the almost superstitious method of baking it, reducing the temperature of the oven, baking some more, and cooling inside the oven once finished) and the food-processor method were freshman attempts. Happily though, they produced wonderful results. I actually used pumpkin we grew in our garden last year, which was more liquid in texture than the canned variety, but it produced a delicate and soft cheesecake. And once my sister got wind I was making one for this month's contest, she insisted I make her one as well, so I got to do a practice round. Such a solid recipe. Simple and fun - with delicious results!
