My mom used to make something similar, but the meringue crust was baked in a pie tin. We called it Angel Pie, and it was our favorite. The tart lemon curd with the crunchy meringue and soft whip cream could not be beat! The addition of the almonds is a beautiful and tasty addition. Thanks Nigella!
