My 13 year old son Eelke made this beautiful cake. It is a wonderfully simple cake for him as he learns how to cook - another simple but delicious Nigella recipe to add to his reportoire. He used dried roses for decoration (as we don't have an easy supply of fresh roses in Qatar) and he carefully made petals out of pear as well. A perfect cake for Ramadan!
